Some Protein Reviews

Hey Everyone!

Sorry for the long delay since my last blog post. Been working on a few things and been very busy with work of late. I however do hope to have more blogs, videos etc coming over the next few weeks. I have joined together with www.bestpricenutrition.com to help do some product reviews for them and help promote their website. They truly are an awesome company to check out for all your supplement needs as they have a large lineup of products from many different companies. They are also continually adding more companies & products to their lineup. Also their customer service is great which is sometimes hard to find these days.

So let's begin with the reviews. I have 2 products which I'd like to review today. The first will be Optimum Nutrition's Hydro-builder Chocolate Shake Flavor.

I have always been a fan of Optimum Nutrition's products. They consistently make high quality products that not only taste good but work. For proteins they are easily the most popular on the market.

So I was given some samples of the Chocolate Hydro-builder flavor to try. The protein is very high quality but I was a little disappointed in the taste. The chocolate flavor has a strange aftertaste and almost tasted very fake. It is certainly not my favorite Chocolate flavor I've tried.

In regards to mix-ability it does tend to be a little thick if not enough water is added but otherwise it will not clump.

Hydro-builder also has added Creatine which is what mainly sets it apart from other proteins. It gives you the 5 Gram dosage which is what you usually should be getting per day in each servings.

The price point on this product is what I dislike the most. Even-though the quality is high your mainly paying for the added Creatine. I would highly recommend to just buy a tub of bulk Creatine Mono-Hydrate and add it to your protein shakes.

So I'm going to give this product a rating of 6/10 because of the price point and also flavor.

--------------------------------------------------------------

The next protein I'd like to review is All-Max Nutrition's Iso-Flex Chocolate Peanut Butter & Regular Chocolate flavors.

I'll start with the regular chocolate flavor first as to compare to the ON Hydro-builder.

Once again the chocolate flavor was very disappointing. One thing to mention however is that I usually never purchase Chocolate flavored proteins to begin with because very few taste good to me.

Anyways the main thing for me with Iso-Flex that I noticed was the product profile. Only 110 calories for a 30 gram serving. No Fat or Carbs which is great for those on a cut or watching there calorie intake. 27 Grams per serving is also great and I can't think of any other protein with same amount of high quality isolate protein per 30 grams.

Mix-ability is also great with no clumping even when mixed with only a little bit of water.

In regards to taste I found the Chocolate Peanut Butter to be the best between the two. It reminded me of Reeses Peanut Butter Cups. It was very good tasting and delicious to drink. There were also little chocolate chunks in the protein which i could have done without because they sometimes stuck to the shaker cup.

Between this protein and Hydro-builder I would choose the Iso-Flex and just add my own Creatine.

Once again however the price point is VERY high in comparison to most proteins. Even-though the profile is stellar I still don't feel it's price is warranted.

I will give the Chocolate flavor a 6/10 because of the price point and taste and the Peanut Butter flavor a 8/10 because the taste is drastically better.

Well thanks for checking out this review and look for more within the coming days!
